The apartment is situated on the Matagorda Bay complex at the western side of Matagorda, the name of the road is the Calle Mato.The apartment is on the 1st floor, facing west and has sun throughout the day till sunset. The view from the terrace is stunning with uninterrupted views of the sea, Matagorda, Los Pocillos Beach, Fuerteventura, Los Ajache mountains and the new golf course between Tias and Puerto del Carmen, it also overlooks the communal pools, a large heated pool and a children's pool surrounded by sun loungers.The apartment itself is one bedroom, one kitchen-diner, bathroom, solana(drying room). The entire apartment has recently been renovated and boasts an open plan fitted kitchen, with microwave oven grill, fridge, kettle, toaster and electric hob. The bedroom has a double bed, two bedside tables, wall mounted lamps, mirror and fitted wardrobe.The bathroom comprises of walk-in-shower, sink, WC, mirror, shelf and towel rail. Double sofa-bed, coffee table, mirror, dining table and chairs, flat screen tv with free to air channels, BBC1, BC2, RTE1, RTE2, ITV, Channel4, Channel5 and Sky News and a DVD with a selection of children's programmes, in the kitchen diner.The terrace is west facing and has a patio table and chairs. MATAGORDA:
Originally a fishing village, Matagorda is perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday, providing an ideal alternative to the lively atmosphere and vibrant nightlife of Puerto del Carmen, the main resort in the island which is 3km away.The long stretch of gentle sloping, fine dark sand is great for relaxing and there is plenty of space for kids to play. The beach is a popular windsurfing spot and is ideal for beginners and intermediates. In recent years, funds from the European Union have been invested in the beach area resulting in a wonderful promenade.The resort contains one commerical centre, which has on offer numerous restaurants, bars and shops. The airport is only 6km for Matagorda, a short transfer, if you head east along the promenade you can view the planes landing on the runway, the kids love it.

ALL ABOUT LANZAROTE:
A sunshine holiday haven, the island of Lanzarote sits along the same latitude as Florida and the western Sahara, virtually guaranteeing average daily temperatures of 80 degrees or more. It takes about 4 hrs flying from GB and Ireland. Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands enjoy a special
duty-free tax status. Cigarettes, alcohol, perfumes and petrol are much cheaper than in mainland Spain and the rest of the EU. Matagorda has a two storey shopping centre containing a supermarket and souvenir stores, but for a real shopping spree head to neighbouring Puerto del Carmen, which is bristling with a variety of shops from duty-free electrical stores and designer boutiques to stalls selling `tourist tat` along the main strip. Nearby Teguise hosts a Sunday market, which is fun to visit. Lanzarote is renowned for having the prestigious title of the Biosphere Reserve, making it one of the world's cleanest and most environmentally friendly places. Top destination for it's brillant climate and all-year-round sunshine. It also sucessfully maintains it's pristine natural beauty,with the Timanfaya National Park and virgin beaches balanced harmoniously with buzzing nightlife, bars, shops and restaurants.

| There are only 2 golf courses in Lanzarote, the oldest is in Costa Teguise and newly opened one in Puerto del Carmen which can be seen from the terrace of our apartment.Journey time by car to Costa Teguise is half an hour and to Puerto del Carmen is 10 min. |
